Special Horns.jpg

We are no longer building saddle trees. We have two saddle fit videos available on our westernsaddlefit.com websiteWestern Saddle Fit - The Basics, aimed at riders, is available either on DVD or streaming on Vimeo while the six hour series Well Beyond the Basics, aimed more for professionals but understandable by anyone, is available by streaming on Vimeo. (We left this website up because we have had many requests to keep the information available.)

Special Wood Post Horns

Because we shape wood post horns individually, we can easily make a different shape than normal, along with the different height and pitches we have pictured in our Horns on Wade Trees and our Wood Post Horns on Swell Fork Trees pages.  We can even move the horn forward on the fork for those worried about “belly clearance”!  We also use special woods to make exposed wood caps or even fully exposed horns if requested.  Following are some pictures of different shapes, styles and exposed wood horns we have been asked to make.  If you have questions or wish to discuss something like this on a tree you want to order, please contact us.

Please note:  These pictures were taken on a flat table.  There will be less pitch to the horns when the trees are on a horse.

Exposed Wood Caps

We will discuss with you about how to attach the horn caps so they fit with your saddle design.  We have placed the screw holes so individual silver inlays work well, or we have routered out a specific size circle for the inlaid horn cap.
